Onam Celebration @ Triumph College

Triumph College Ajman, has conducted Onam celebration in a grand and traditional manner. The celebration was organized on 25/11/2021 in the college premises. Mr. Subash George, Academic director of the college inaugurated the celebration by lighting the traditional lamp. The programme started with athapoovu (flower decoration), group song and traditional Thiruvathira dance.

Students presented a beautiful ‘onam song ‘in the background. Students and staff members played and enjoyed various outdoor games. Students arranged colorful competitions, such as floral carpet and tug of war. The floral arrangements looked more beautiful and the traditional lamps lit by the principal.

This harvest festival of Kerala brings a divine message of unity in diversity. Principal Mr. Subash George highlighted the importance of celebrating Onam. Students from different communities celebrated this festival with competitions that were organized.

All faculty members and students participated in the event. The college arranged Onam feast in connection with the celebrations.

Most of the delicious items in the sadya were prepared by themselves at home. The students brought them to the college, serve & taste in a harmonious way.
